A Cluster Program for 200 Rural Artisans from Ghatkesar Mandal was conducted in
the year 2007-10. The Program was sanctioned by Department of Handicrafts, Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India. A total no. of 8 Skill Upgradation Training Programs and 6 Design Development Programs were conducted. A total amount of Rs.24 lacs was sanctioned as a grant from Department of Handicrafts for these programs. Under this program 14 SHG groups are formed and an amount of Rs.20 lakhs was sanctioned as a loan to these artisan groups by Union Bank of India, Ghatkesar Branch in January 2011. All the Artisans are covered under Janasree Bhima Yojana of LIC
SSES under its rehabilitation program linked the trainees with banks. SSES endeavors to provide market avenues to these rural artisans. The artifacts produced by these artisans are exhibited and sold in many exhibitions.Such as Dilli-Haat , New Delhi , NSIC’s TRIBAL EXPO, at New Delhi ,Swadeshi Mela, at Karimnagar ,Adevasi Sammelan at New Delhi , Keesara Grameel Mela at Keesaragutta , 2nd National Tribal Expo at New Delhi, All India Industrial Exhibition at Nampally, Gram Sampada-06 at NABARD, Regional Office Pune International Trade Fair, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi and many other local Melas and Exhibitions and also has an arrangement with Tribes, Govt of India undertaking for supply of artefacts on regular basis.
SSES has organized one Primary Level Training Program (PLT) TRIFED and one DWT (RT) program in the year 2009-10 supported by TRIFED for 30 tribal candidates at Annojiguda village, Ghatkesar mandal, R.R.District. All the prototypes produced have been submitted to TRIFED, Hyderabad office. The Regional Officer, Hyderabad has visited the training programs and expressed satisfaction.
